A life of healing…
Rick began his career in the medical profession as an Air Force Medical Service Specialist in 1967. After 2 1/2 years in the emergency room at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas, and 15 months in Da Nang, Vietnam, he worked as a nurse assistant at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital (TMH). Becoming a Florida paramedic in 1980, Rick worked in TMH ambulances for nearly 11 years. During that time (1985) he was also one of the original Aeromedical Specialists (aka “Flight Medic”) flying with Life Flight (helicopter and fixed-wing) until August, 1990.
Rick studied massage at Al Drake’s (FL. Massage License MA50) North Florida School of Massage Therapy in 1987. He has worked with 4 rehab clinics, 3 “high-end” resorts, 3 chiropractors, and 2 physical therapists. He has been an instructor at 2 massage schools, and was literally invited to be an examiner for the practical portion of the State of Florida’s massage exam. He humbly accepted that invitation with gratitude.
Rick’s resort experience include the Grove Park Inn Resort in Asheville, North Carolina; 3 seasons at Francis Ford Coppola’s Blancaneaux Lodge in Belize, Central America; and 1 year as a member of the “opening team” at the Ritz-Carlton Spa in Naples, Florida.
In November, 2002 Rick attended a Basic Quantum-Touch (QT) Workshop in Tampa, Florida. Although not fully understanding the potential of QT, Rick continued to witness positive results of QT with several clients. However, because energy-based healing was not yet recognized nor accepted as valid, neuromuscular massage therapy was his most requested therapy until June, 2005. By that time, Rick was saying to the Universe, “There MUST be a kinder, gentler way to help others heal without hurting them and hurting myself at the same time.”
An inner voice told him to open the FedEx box containing the QT Interactive Video Workshop, unopened for 7 months. He states, “Watching those DVDs not only rekindled my interest in Quantum-Touch, I realized that all of the various modalities, jobs, and experiences I’ve had since 1967 have been like taking little steps towards my goal of becoming a healer. Quantum-Touch has proven to be a quantum LEAP towards awakening the healer within me, and the answer to my prayers.”
Six years later, also in November, Rick successfully completed the Level 1 Domancic Method of Bioenergy Therapy seminar in Fort Myers, Florida. He states, “With more than 21 years of offering massage therapy, I’m beginning to truly appreciate the benefits of using the natural energy provided by our Creator to help others heal. It not only saves the wear and tear on my fingers, hands, wrists, and forearms, doing therapy with energy takes the ‘educated guess’ out of what ‘might’ be the source of pain or disease because the bioenergy is ‘informed’. It simply knows where to go, it heals on a much deeper level, it is noticeably more comfortable (“subtle”) for the client, and surprisingly effective! It will truly be my pleasure to work with you, your children, your pets, your friends and family.”
After completing the Level 2 seminar in June, 2010, Rick now offers Bioenergy Therapy from a distance, and “Group Sessions”. There’s more information about the Domancic Method of Bioenergy Therapy on his Home page.
Fast forward to the last weekend in October, 2016 (“almost” November) when Rick completed the Quantum-Touch Level 2 workshop in Plano, Texas. There’s more information about the basic Quantum-Touch and Quantum-Touch Level 2 on his Home page.
